A two day Workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights(IPR) Awareness” is organized on 15th and 16th September’2017 at Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus(Autonomous) under the sponsorship of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. Dr H S Saini, Managing Director of Guru Nanak Group of Institutions is the advisor of the workshop. Dr S V Ranganayakulu, Dean – R&D is convener of the workshop.
DrSamudralaVenuGopala Chary, Special Representative of Telaganana State(Cabinet Minister Rank) is the Chief Guest for the inaugural function. In his address, he insisted the participants for filing of patents of their academic research and innovations to protect their intellectual work. He expressed that, this workshop will enlighten the participants to go for filing of patents, industrial design and copy rights of their research work and innovations. He appreciated the management on behalf of Telangana Government for taking up this workshop.
In this two days workshop, students, academician, researchers and doctors from different institutions participated. Experts from different patent facilitations centers and IP analysists gave talk on IPR and litigation issues.
MrVenkatsamRajamani, Indian Patent Office, Chennai spoke on Trade mark and brand protection. Mr M Vijaya Kumar, Sr IP analyst from I-win patent services spoke on “Basics of Intellectual Property Rights, Emerging Trends in IPR Legislation in Electronic & Software Industry and scope of IPR academic research. MrVenkataRamana spoke on“IC layout design” andProf. Mohan Krishna from Pendakanti Law College spoke on “software patent abilitiescopyrightissuesin DigitalEnvironment and IP Commercialization”. MrSatyaVenkateswaraRao spoke on “Necessity & Benefits of possessing a strong IP for Startups and SME with a Case study of Japanese Company Engineer Inc”.MsVanamVaralakshmi spoke on “Emerging Trends in IPR Legislation in Electronic & Software Industry”.
This two days workshop is concluded with presentation of certifications by Vice-Cairman of the Institutions, G S Kohli, Dr H S Saini, Managing Director and Dr M Ramalinga Reddy, Director, Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus.
