Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)


  • Graduates shall have the ability to apply knowledge across the disciplines and in merging areas of Mechanical Engineering for higher studies, research, employability and handle the realistic problems.
  • Graduates shall have good communication skills, to possess ethical conduct, sense of responsibility to serve the society, and protect the environment.
  • Graduates shall have strong foundation in academic excellence, soft skills, managerial skills, leadership qualities and understand the need for lifelong learning for a successful professional career.

  • Programme Outcomes(POs)


    Program outcomes are narrower statements that describe what students are expected to know and be able to do by the time of graduation. These relate to the skills, knowledge, behaviors. Engineering programs must demonstrate that their students attain the following out comes.


  • An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering
  • An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
  • An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and
  • manufacturability, and sustainability.
  • An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
  • An ability to identify, formulates, and solves engineering problems
  • An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.
  • An ability to communicate effectively,
  • The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context,
  • Recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning
  • knowledge of contemporary issues, and
  • An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
  • An ability to explore the opportunities for rapid deployment of renewable energy in the functioning of Mechanical Engineering systems
