After the successful completion of International Conferences in Computer Science and Engineering, Guru Nanak Institutions, took a leap further towards the direction of research and innovation by organizing the 4th International Conference on “Innovations in Electronics and Communication Engineering” and 2nd International Conference on “Innovations in Electronics and Electrical Engineering” during 21- 22 August 2015.
The Theme of the conference was Digital India and Smart Cities. The conference was supported by Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi.
These Conferences were supported by Texas Instruments, Microsoft, ISTE, IETE, DRDO and JNTUH. These Conferences were organized in the spacious indoor auditorium assembled with technocrats, delegates, researchers, faculty and students who came to get acquainted with the latest advancements in the fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
The Conference commenced with lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Dr. U Chandra Shekhar, Director ESCI, Dr. B V Reddy, Prof. University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Dr. Satyanarayana Murthy, Associate Director-RCI, Dr. T. Srinivas, Principal, University Engineering College, Kakatiya University ,Warangal, Dr. Mukund Rao, former Professor IIT -Chennai and Prof. Surya Kalawathi, Prof. JNTU Hyderabad, along with other dignitaries on the dais. Internationally acclaimed researchers and professors from five countries were among the eminent personalities who shared their ideas with audience on the emerging trends in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
In his address the Chief Guest of the occasion Dr U Chandra Shekher, Director, ESCI delivered the need of converting faculties into contributors. The skill development needs to job oriented and universal. Dr BV Reddy appreciated the Journals, the conference proceedings and the overall development of the Institution. He wanted students to be entrepreneurs and job providers rather than job seekers.
Dr. Satyanarayana Murthy, Associate Director-RCI, highlighted the role of the technology in the field of missile development and importance of electronics and computes science in rocket technology. Mr.T.Srinivas, Principal University Engineering College, Kakatiya University, Warangal, appreciated the efforts made by GNI in conducting International Conference every year. He appreciated the excellence centers and the DECODE IT Park, one of its own type set up by the institution and the revolution, it is going to bring in to the academics and employability. Dr Mukund Rao, Former Prof.IIT Chennai, delivered a note on the opportunities in the field of medical electronics for electronic engineers.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr.H.S.Saini, Managing Director of Guru Nanak Institutions stressed on the need to encourage innovation and research in all the fields of Engineering and Technology. He briefed the audience about the Guru Nanak Institutions continuous efforts in the area of R & D measures by organizing National and International workshops and Conferences on emerging trends in the field of Engineering and Technology and also publishing annually two International research journals namely “Journal of Innovation in Electronics and Communication Engineering” and “Journal of Innovation in Computer Science and Engineering”. He also deliberated upon the changes the DECODE- IT park is going to make in the life of students by opening new venues for employability and skill development to boost Digital India and Smart cities.
During this auspicious occasion, the Conference proceedings were released by Dr. U Chandrasheker and Dr. B V Reddy.
