Faculty Learning Centre

Faculty Learning Center is established in Innovation Centre of GNI as one of Centers of Excellence. Its aim is to improve pedagogy and facilitate conversations about teaching and learning process. Faculty Learning Center offers one-on-one consultations on any teaching-related issues with guest speakers on education and coordinates internal workshops on a variety of teaching topics aimed to fostering critical analysis of pedagogy for faculty of GNI.

• 30 systems are installed

Software

• All systems are configured in DUAL BOOT mode i.e., Faculty can boot from Windows XP or Linux as per their requirement. This is very useful for Faculty because they are familiar with different Operating Systems so that they can have experience with different programming environments.
• Database access Oracle 9i client version is installed in all systems.
• ETL TOOL: Informatica 7.1.1 is installed in all the systems. Faculty can execute ETL process using this tool. They can import the Meta data from different source definition into the data warehouse by applying the business logics.
• Reporting TOOL: COGONS is installed in all the systems.
• Faculty can learn about assembly language programs using MASM. MASM is very useful for executing the microprocessor programs and they can see contents of Processor Registersand how each instruction is being executed in the CPU.
• Rational Rose Software is installed in some systems. Using this software, Faculty can depict UML diagrams of their Innovative projects
