The IEEE Computer Society, Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (GNITC), successfully organized Virtual Vista 2.0, a national-level online project competition that witnessed overwhelming participation and enthusiasm from budding technocrats across the country. With a total of 164 teams comprising 467 members, the event stood as a testament to collaborative innovation and youth-driven technology. Notably, 271 participants hailed from 14 different states beyond Telangana, showcasing the pan-India reach and impact of the event.
The inauguration ceremony of Virtual Vista 2.0 was held in hybrid mode on May 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM, and was graced by the esteemed Mr. Srinivas Taluka, Vice President - Facilities at T-Hub, renowned mentor and motivational speaker. His inspiring words set a powerful tone for the event, encouraging participants to think creatively and embrace real-world problem solving.
From the 164 registered teams, 65 innovative teams were shortlisted for the final presentation round. These teams pitched their ideas before an eminent jury panel consisting of distinguished experts from both industry and academia. The jury members included Dr. Animesh Tayal, Founder and Director, Codemate IT Services; Mr. Abhijit Bhuibhar, Deputy Manager at Deloitte; Mr. Vijay Krishna, Bid Manager at Volition IIT Inc.; Ms. Akansha Tripathi, Associate Software Quality Engineer at Red Hat; and Mr. Rishabh Sharma, Senior Associate Consultant at Infosys. Their insights and evaluation added immense value to the judging process and encouraged the students to aim for industry standards.
The valedictory session was held on May 10, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in virtual mode, where the top three winning teams were felicitated. The ceremony was honoured by the presence of Mr. Bala Prasad Peddigiri, Chief Innovation Officer and Global Head - Technology Advisory Services, Software and Services Business Group, Tata Consultancy Services, as the Chief Guest. In his keynote, Mr. Peddigiri applauded the participants' creativity and emphasized the importance of continuous innovation in shaping the future of technology.
The winners of Virtual Vista 2.0 were:
• 1st Prize: Team Pikachu from Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research, Indore, Madhya Pradesh
• 2nd Prize:Team Zenith from Sambalpur University of Information Technology, Sambalpur, Odisha
• 3rd Prize: Team Agri-Lift from Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus, Hyderabad, Telangana
The grand success of the event was made possible by the constant guidance and leadership of Dr. Geeta Tripathi, IEEE CS Advisor and HoD 1, CSE; and Dr. Ravindra Changala, Event Convener and HoD 2, CSE. Their efforts were supported and celebrated by Dr. H. S. Saini, Managing Director of GNI, Dr. S. Sreenatha Reddy, Director of GNITC; Dr. P. Parthasaradhy, Joint Director; Dr. Rishi Sayal, Associate Director; and Dr. Harish Kundra, Dean of Faculty and Student Affairs, who all played pivotal roles in ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
Virtual Vista 2.0 has once again proven GNITC’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. The participation from diverse geographical regions reflects the increasing impact of GNITC’s outreach and the IEEE Computer Society's growing influence in nurturing talent on a national scale.
The IEEE COMPUTER SOCIETY, GNITC, organised Inauguration of National Level Online Project Competition Virtual Vista 2.0 on 3rd May 2025.
From 15 states across India, 465+ participants in 164 teams of UG/PG registered for the event out of which 65 teams were shortlisted for final round. These 65 teams competed for top 3 positions on 3rd May 2025 in 5 parallel Online Panels. A team of jury with experts from industry and academia evaluated projects in each panel. The event was live telecasted on YouTube for inauguration and 5 panels. Results will be declared on 10th May 2025 in online mode.
This Signature event of IEEE-CS at GNITC was inaugurated in Hybrid mode by Mr Srinivas Taluka, Vice President Facilities, T-HUB, Hyderabad. He expressed importance of such competitions and invited to discuss at T-HUB the team who wins it. Panel experts from renowned companies like Codemate, Deloitte, Volition Inc., RedHat and Infosys joined virtually.
Director, Dr. S. Sreenatha Reddy, motivated participants to convert their ideas to start-ups and become job providers. Dr P. Parthasaradhy, Joint Director, Dr. Rishi Sayal, Associate Director and IEEE SB Counsellor, Dr. Harish Kundra, Dean Student and Faculty Affairs and IEEE SB Coordinator graced the Dias along with Dr. Geeta, HODCSE1 and IEEE CS Advisor, Dr. Ravindra, HOD CSE2 and Convener of the event.

The IEEE Student Branch of Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (GNITC) proudly hosted the AI Mastery Boot-Camp on 30th and 31st August 2024. This two-day immersive event, held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM each day in the 006 Seminar Hall, PG Block, was meticulously designed to equip students with cutting-edge knowledge and hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The boot camp attracted a significant number of participants, highlighting the increasing enthusiasm and curiosity surrounding AI among the student community.
Registration and Participation
The registration process for the AI Mastery Boot-Camp was initiated on 21st August 2024, with offline registrations conducted at the R&D Room 008. The event was open to both IEEE members, who enjoyed complimentary access, and non-IEEE members, who registered for a nominal fee of ₹50. A total of 121 students eagerly registered for the boot camp, reflecting a strong interest in acquiring AI skills and staying ahead in the competitive technological landscape.
Inauguration and Welcome Addresses
The event commenced with a formal inauguration on 30th August 2024, marked by insightful speeches from distinguished faculty members. Dr. B. Santhosh, HOD CSE, GNIT, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the event by emphasizing the transformative impact of AI in various industries. He encouraged students to make the most of this opportunity to deepen their understanding of AI and its applications.
Following, Dr. S. Sreenatha Reddy, Director, GNITC took the stage to provide a keynote speech. He highlighted the institution's ongoing commitment to fostering innovation and preparing students for future challenges. His words inspired the participants to actively engage with the sessions and explore the vast possibilities that AI offers.
Adding further value to the inauguration, Dr. Geeta Thripathi, HOD CSE, GNITC, addressed the gathering. She shared her insights on the critical role of AI in shaping the future of technology and industry. Dr. Geeta Thripathi’s address served as a motivating factor for students, urging them to embrace AI as a powerful tool for problem-solving and innovation.
Day 1: Introduction to AI Tools and Large Language Models
The first day of the boot camp, held on 30th August 2024, was dedicated to foundational concepts and essential tools in AI. K. Raviteja, a highly skilled 4th-year CSE student at GNITC, served as the resource person for the event. His expertise and passion for AI were evident as he guided participants through the day's sessions.
- Introduction to AI Tools: The day began with an overview of various AI tools that are crucial for modern AI development. Participants were introduced to software and platforms used for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment. This session laid the groundwork for the more advanced topics covered later in the boot camp.
- Large Language Models: The session continued with an in-depth exploration of Large Language Models (LLMs), including their architecture, applications, and the underlying technologies that make them powerful. Participants learned about popular models like GPT and their use cases in natural language processing and other AI-driven tasks.
- Types of Multimodal AIs: The first day also included a discussion on multimodal AIs, which integrate different types of data such as text, images, and audio to perform complex tasks. This session provided participants with a broader understanding of how AI can be applied in diverse scenarios.
- Python Environment Setup: The day concluded with a practical session on setting up a Python environment tailored for AI development. Participants were guided through the installation of essential libraries and tools, enabling them to start coding and experimenting with AI algorithms.
Day 2: Advanced AI Concepts and Practical Implementation
The second day, held on 31st August 2024, delved into more advanced AI concepts and their practical applications. Building on the foundation laid on the first day, participants were introduced to cutting-edge technologies and given the opportunity to work on a hands-on project.
- Ollama Setup and Running: The day began with a session on Ollama, a powerful tool for AI development. Participants learned how to set up and run Ollama, gaining insights into its features and capabilities. This session was particularly valuable for students interested in exploring AI beyond traditional frameworks.
- APIs and LangChain: The next session focused on the integration of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and the use of LangChain for building complex AI models. Participants were shown how to leverage APIs to access and manipulate data, and how LangChain can be used to create more sophisticated AI systems.
- Introduction to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation): Participants were then introduced to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), a cutting-edge technique that combines information retrieval with text generation to produce highly accurate and contextually relevant outputs. This session provided valuable insights into the future of AI-driven content creation and problem-solving.
- Hands-On Project: The highlight of the second day was a hands-on project where participants applied the concepts and tools they had learned over the course of the boot camp. Guided by Raviteja K., the participants worked in teams to develop a small AI project, demonstrating their newfound skills in a practical setting. This project not only reinforced the theoretical knowledge gained but also provided a platform for collaborative learning.
Interactive Quiz Session
To conclude the technical sessions on Day 2, an interactive quiz was conducted, testing the participants' understanding of the concepts covered during the boot camp. The quiz added an element of fun and competition, with students enthusiastically participating and showcasing their knowledge.
Event Coordination and Support
The smooth execution of the AI Mastery Boot-Camp was made possible by the dedicated efforts of a coordination team comprising Mohammed from GNITC, IOT; Kevin from GNITC, CSM; Sayali from GNIT, CSM; Jatin from GNITC, CSE; and Karthik from GNIT, CSM. Their meticulous planning and seamless coordination ensured that the event ran smoothly and that participants had a positive and enriching experience.

The AI Mastery Boot-Camp was a resounding success, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of AI tools, techniques, and applications. The event not only enhanced the technical skills of the participants but also fostered a spirit of innovation and collaboration. The IEEE-Computer Society GNITC, organized the "CYBERNINJA on Ethical
Hacking and Cyber Defense" on 14th & 15th February 2025, under the mentorship of
Dr. Geeta Tripathi, Head CSE1 and IEEE-CS Advisor; Dr. Harish Kundra, Dean
(Student & Faculty Affairs) and IEEE Branch Coordinator; Dr. Rishi Sayal, Associate
Director GNITC and IEEE Counsellor; and Dr. S. Sreenatha Reddy, Director GNITC.
The resource person, Mr Srujan Atluri, from Supraja Technologies, Vijaywada, is EC
Council Certified Ethical Hacker who has trained 42500+ people. The workshop
concluded with participants expressing need for more such hands on trainings.

December 2024, under the mentorship of Dr. Geeta Tripathi, Head CSE1 and IEEE-CS
Advisor; Dr. Harish Kundra, Dean (Student & Faculty Affairs) and IEEE Branch
Coordinator; Dr. Rishi Sayal, Associate Director GNITC and IEEE Counsellor; and Dr. S.
Sreenatha Reddy, Director GNITC. The workshop featured Mr. Gokul Kumar
Vishwanathan, Founder and CEO of Hysteresis Pvt Ltd, Pune, Maharashtra, India, as the
resource person. The objective was to equip participants with in-demand knowledge of
cloud computing technologies, blending theoretical foundations with practical applications.
The workshop covered essential topics such as cloud architecture, deployment models,
virtualization, and security considerations. Participants engaged in hands-on sessions,
where they learned to create and manage cloud instances, offering them a first-hand
experience of working with cloud infrastructure.
A dedicated Q&A session allowed participants to interact directly with Mr. Gokul Kumar
Vishwanathan, who addressed their queries.

The IEEE TECH IGNITION event took place at Guru Nanak Institutions on 13th of June, drawing significant attention and enthusiastic participation. The theme of TECH IGNITION was Empowering Innovation and Excellence, reflecting IEEE's goal to advance technology for humanity. The event featured a diverse array of seven competitions, including Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Code-A-Thon, Hackathon, Idea-A-Thon, E-sports, and Embedded Innovation, attracting a remarkable total of nearly 700 participations.

The IEEE Computer Society of Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (Autonomous) recently organized a successful National Level Online Project Competition, Virtual Vista-1.0. The event, held on May 25, 2024, in a virtual format, saw participation from over 400 students representing various states across India. Industry professionals served as judges, bringing valuable insights and expertise to the competition.
Today, on June 5, 2024, the Valedictory Function was held, where cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners. The top prize of Rs. 21,100 was awarded to the team from Anurag University, Telangana, comprising P. Karthik Rao, B. Venu Gopal, P. Sahithi Reddy, and V. Charitha Reddy. The second prize of Rs. 11,100 went to the team from Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Tamil Nadu, including Shaun Orlando M, Shivani S. R., and Sarathi. The third prize of Rs. 5,500 was given to the team from Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research, Madhya Pradesh, consisting of Sakshi Raut, Vihaan Vijayvargiya, Aditi Zingre, and Ira Joshi.
