Nuclear Fusion Programme

Major research Project entitled of “Establishment of Acoustic Emission technique for quality of Assurance of SS materials and other NDT techniques” is sanctioned Institute for Plasma Research of “Board of Research in Fusion Science & Technology (BRFST)” under Department of Atomic Energy under Nuclear Fusion Programme. An amount of Rs.29.55lacs is sanctioned to pursue this project and tenure of the project is 2 years. Two Junior research Fellows were recruited and one senior professor Dr S V Ranganayakulu, Dean – R&FD of GNITC was appointed as principal Investigator to pursue this project. The outcome of the project is submitted to BRFST in due course of time and published in good number of international journals. 24 students were pursued academic projects as part of the course work of B.Tech.

Dr A Ravi Kumar, Scientist - G Coordinator of BRFST visited the Centre for Non Destructive Evaluation and demonstrating the 4- Channel Acoustic equipment set up.
